Field Service Technician I, II, III

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports To: Project Manager

Manage People: No

Location: 95% Domestic Travel, Headquarters in Marietta, GA | Worksites in USA & International

What You'll Do:

  • Perform circuit breaker inspections and electrical testing (LV/MV)

  • Conduct insulation resistance and grounding tests

  • Assist with and perform secondary injection testing

  • Support protective relay verification and functional testing

  • Assist with generator startup and commissioning activities

  • Complete field documentation and contribute to test reports

Requirements:

Skillset: 

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. 

  • Experience with field service tools and diagnostic equipment. 

  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols.  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Effective time management and ability to work independently. 

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service delivery.

Salary Range:

  • The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00 per hour, based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant experience. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support employee well-being and professional growth.

Licensing: (All levels, must be obtained within first 30 days if not already obtained.)

  • OSHA 30

  • NFPA 70E

  • CPR / AED

  • Lockout / Tagout training

What We're Looking For:

Field Service Technician I:

  • 0–2 years electrical or industrial experience

  • Basic understanding of electrical safety

  • Mechanically inclined and willing to learn

  • Comfortable using laptops and basic software in field environments

 

Field Service Technician II:

  • 2–4 years electrical, industrial, or field service experience

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices

  • Comfortable using laptops, test equipment software, and digital reporting tools

 

Field Service Technician III:

  • 4–7 years electrical, industrial, or field service experience

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and three-line diagrams

  • Experience working in substation or industrial power environments

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable using laptops, test equipment software, relay interfaces, and digital reporting tools
