Project Overview:
PGDS performed a breaker retrofit at a data center in Newport News, VA, replacing outdated ITE breakers with Siemens WL breakers. The project involved significant modifications to ensure proper fitment, wiring adjustments, and rigorous testing to verify system integrity.
Scope of Work:

Removed all existing breakers and switchboard doors, beginning installation of new circuit breaker cradles and 1600A feeder breakers.

Installed cradles for feeder, main, and tie breakers, along with control wiring for switchboard power supply circuits.

Modified switchboard doors onsite to properly fit over the new breakers due to incorrect factory sizing.

Completed control wiring adjustments, ensuring proper breaker charging circuit functionality.
